Due to open later this year, Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh, India, has awarded a contract to ADB Safegate to supply its Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System (A-VDGS) and Apron Management System at the greenfield airport.

By implementing its latest Airside 4.0 technology, ADB Safegate is helping improve operational efficiency, safety and sustainability at the new airport. The project includes the supply and installation of FLEX A-VDGS, featuring enhanced RIDS capabilities and the latest Apron Manager – one of the most advanced apron management products on the market. Installation of the technology will be handled by ADB Safegate’s partner AMA.

“The FLEX A-VDGS and Apron Manager will significantly enhance the operational efficiency and safety at Noida International Airport. In addition, it shall give them a flexibility to expand their Apron management systems with their growth and development of next phases of airport expansion,” commented Bhartendu Mohan, Country Director for India at ADB Safegate.

A major addition to India’s aviation structure, Noida Airport is being developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) a 100% subsidiary of Zurich International Airport. With Zurich International looking to expand their global footprint, the airport represents Zurich International’s first fully-owned project in India.
